Perserverance
Perserverance 1. steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc., esp. in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement
My friend Thomas sat on the steps with me, at 225 Water Street Creative Arts, during the annual Heimatfest parade, in Jordan, Minnesota. He’s an interesting older man that stops into the store every so often…always at the right time. (I always have to touch him to make sure he's really there:)
I really enjoy his take on life.
As it turned out, his appearance (as always) was divine intervention.
As we sat down, he kindly whispered to me, “everyone else is sitting on the other side of the street because they don’t want to be subjected to the sun.
I’m so glad that he was there.
Without even knowing my position of living and sometimes dying in a small town he said…
When the world says, “Give up,”
Hope whispers, “Try it one more time.”
Isn’t it funny that we never know the best time to walk away, or not, from something that we’ve given so much of our energy to.
It might happen tomorrow.
It might not.
“I don’t mind what happens.”
Thank you, Thomas.
